Chris Hayes was named senior vice president of operations for SemCAMS in 2006. He is responsible for Health, Environment and Safety, purchasing, engineering and the ongoing operation of SemCAMS' natural gas processing plants and gathering systems located in Alberta, Canada.
Hayes came to SemGroup® Corporation in 2005 with 28 years of energy industry experience. Hayes’ previous industry experience includes 23 years with Amoco and BP where his responsibilities evolved from engineering to leading field operations and asset area management teams. Prior to joining SemCAMS, he worked as planning manager for Amoco Canada and portfolio manager for Amoco North America.
Hayes earned his bachelor’s of chemical engineering from University of British Columbia and a master’s of business administration degree from University of Calgary.
